Responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced GIS functions including modeling, scripting, and application development
  • Develop and design schemas and structure for GIS data
  • Research new software and technology as they pertain to GIS operations and develop solutions and procedures to streamline and maximize the efficiency of GIS operations
  • Perform GIS data editing, manipulation, and quality control in a desktop GIS environment
  • Perform data conversions from Survey and CAD data types to GIS formats

Requirements:

Position Summary:

The Operations Manager (OM) for the Phoenix office will report to the Southwest Regional Operations Manager (SW ROM). You will be responsible for the leadership, management, and operations and coordination of all technical, human resources, marketing/sales, and financial activities for the office while integrating and adhering to Cole’s corporate and technical standards and policies. Work frequently and directly with the SW ROM envisioning market growth opportunities, adherence to profit expectations, workflow optimization, growing the office team, and developing an office culture consistent with Cole’s overall company culture. The Operations Manager has direct reports that may include (but not limited to) Projects Managers, Engineers, Designers, and Surveyors.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Actively engage with the Phoenix Relationship Development Director to support their needs and requests as necessary
  • Actively engage in supporting and working directly with all Cole corporate team members
  • Supporting, mentoring, and ensuring the professional growth of office team members
  • Providing training and technical guidance as necessary
  • Proposal writing and contract negotiation as necessary
  • Review and preparation of project invoicing as necessary
  • Work toward and meet or exceed a 50% billability goal
  • Actively engage in the interview and hiring process
  • Coordinate project work with the other Operations and Engineering Managers
  • Serve as a representative of the company, as required, to support the internal team and Cole’s clients at meetings, presentations, and public hearings relative to assigned projects.

Experience:

  • Professional Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of Senior Project Management experience

Essential Functions:

  • Conduct routine analysis of data collected by field crews
  • Interpret test results and compare them to established standards
